Prompt from Twitter (@NaNoWordSprints) - I can't remember exactly what it was but it was something about a tempting dessert of some sort.
Universe: Chronicles
Characters: Cheslea S., Alexis W.
“Delicious,” purred Chelsea as she looked her spoon.
Alexis tried to keep his breathing as even as possible. He was sure she was tempting him with what he couldn’t have and it had nothing to do with the dessert on her spoon. Seeing her lithe tongue flicking out of her moth tasting the next spoonful was torture. He never knew why he put himself through taking her out to her favourite dessert joint but he could never deny her anything. She wanted to go to Audrey’s Café, Alexis would take her Audrey’s Café and allow himself to fantasize and suffer all in one go.
“Want some?”
Alexis looked up from his fingers, not even seeing them and looked up into Chelsea’s eyes; pale brown. He could swear he saw mirth in her pale brown eyes.
A spoon approached his lips and he could feel the cool air drifting of of it but he felt anything but cold.
“It’s your favourite,” she sing-songed.
Alexis almost went cross-eyed looking at the spoon right in front of his mouth. If he opened his mouth and allowed her to put the spoon in his mouth, he would never be able to let her go. To hell with her boyfriend and his commitment issues. To hell with a relationship she’s been in for over 10 years. If he took that spoon in his mouth, all bets were off. No more hedging, no more lying, no more avoiding. Alexis Walters would go after exactly what he wanted and wanted for over 10 years.
Alexis’ lips began to part for the cold confectionary when Chelsea’s phone rang.
Alexis was crestfallen. He lifted his hand, took the spoon from Chelsea and put it in his mouth himself.
He hated that ringtone. It made her face light up. It put a smirk on her face. It distracted her to the point that she didn’t even realize that he had taken the spoon out of her hand.
Alexis couldn’t get involved no matter how much he wanted to. It was never in his nature to fight dirty. Hearing that ringtone made her happy and Alexis would do anything for her happiness.
She hit talk on her phone and with a smile she answered “Hey Casey.” She giggled and then said, “I love you too baby.” And Alexis felt his heart breaking just that little bit more.

Drabble #018
3:10-3:40
Universe: Sutton (extended)
Characters: Nayshun (3rd)(Breanna's stepson)
Title: Fade Into the Background
Nayshun didn't know why he let his parents drag him to this. It was one of the hardest things he ever had to do.
Watch the girl he loved go off and get married to someone else. He knew he wasn't really wanted here by the bride and groom but to save face, a invitation had been issued to Nayshun and he attended at his parents behest.
There were only 2 things Nayshun wanted to do: 1) grab Mari and run away with her or 2) leave the wedding he didn't want to attend and get as drunk as possible. Neither of those were an option without his parents getting severely upset with him.
The wedding march began, the backdoors swung open and the wedding guests all stood, facing the doors.
Mari stood there on her father's arm, smiling up at him. She turned her attention to the inside of the chapel.
As her eyes quickly scanned the guests who had come, she paused and looked a bit longer at Nayshun, not quite believing he had the gall to attend the wedding. She saw that smug smile she hated so much on his face. She raised an eyebrow in challenge, turned her attention back to the aisle, where her soon to be husband, Adrian, was waiting for her. Her smile returned brightly as she proceeded to walk down the aisle.
Nayshun had hoped for one last chance to change her mind but realized he was too late. Mari repeated her vows with such conviction that it felt like she was killing him with every word she spoke.
---
Nayshun had made a new best friend. Her name was Tonja and she was the bartender. She kept the drinks flowing and Nayshun kept ordering more. She had even promised to visit his hotel room to 'visit' him after she was finished at this reception.

Characters: Thai and ??? (female from Hamilton church temp name of Dee)
Dee sat at the table, unsmiling, staring at Thai.
"Not even a smile Dee?" he asked.
"I can't even believe I'm gonna do this is the first place," she said.
"Not that I'm not happy about getting a 2nd chance but can you not look like this is a death sentence?" asked Thai. "It's really depressing."
"You think I'm going to make this easy for you? Think again. You have a lot to make up for. You're really going to have to work hard to earn my trust again. And you still have even more hoops to jump through."
"Offer a guy some hope here," said Thai. "I'm sorry! How many times do I have to apologise?"
"Show me you really mean it," said Dee. "Show me that you are really serious about a relationship with me. Show me that what I want is possible with you. No playing around this time. If you want to leave, just tell me. Don't run off, not tell anyone where to find you and make me have to deal with Allison."
"I am serious and I want to be committed to you."
"I need to be shown, I don't just want the empty words."

Universe: Chronicles
Characters: Chelsea, Casey, Alexis
Chelsea turned her head towards her blaring cell phone and was certain that she had put it on vibrate the night before.
"Hello?" said Chelsea half asleep.
"Are you okay?" Chelsea immediately realised it was Alexis on the other line.
"Still asleep," she said.
"It's 1 o'clock in the afternoon!" said Alexis. "Why are you still asleep?"
"I don't know. I'm just tired," she said. "What's up?"
"Nothing, just checking up on you," said Alexis.
"You haven't done that since you got mad at me."
"I wasn't mad at you," said Alexis. "Frustrated but not mad."
"Same difference," said Chelsea. "I am ravenous. Wanna go for a late lunch?"
"I would need to know where you are in first place. I had called for you originally at your mom's house and she said you hadn't been home all night."
"Don't worry, I'm safe. You can pick me up at Casey's."
"Should you really be staying over night at his house? You know the whole 'living with a man' thing, the 'no sex before marriage' thing."
"Nothing is happening, Alexis. I just got tired and fell asleep," said Chelsea. "I'm getting up. Call me when you reach here."
"Fine," said Alexis with a growl and hung up the phone.
Chelsea stared at her cell as she saw the disconnected sign flash on her phone. "What's up with him?" she asked.

Universe: Chronicles
Characters: primarily Neil Summers and Pastor Alexis Walters
Idea:
Neil finished filling up his cup of juice to accompany his plate of lunch from the weekly lunch buffet. He quickly located his friend and Pastor, Alexis Walters sitting with Chelsea Sutton, Linden and his wife Callie, and Neil's little sister Mona. He made his way to the table, always stopping to say 'hi'.
"Pastor," said Neil. Alexis up at Neil oddly. "Can I talk to you privately?"
"Sure, umm, let's go to my office," said Alexis uncertainly. He had only been a pastor officially for a month and was still adjusting to the title and the responsibilities that went along with it.
=^=
Alexis balanced his plate in one hand while fumbling to find the proper key for his office.
"Come-in," said Alexis as he opened the door and flipped on the light. "Is this a social thing or an official thing?"
"What difference would that make?" asked Neil.
"It tells me what side of the desk I should sit on."
"Sit at your desk," said Neil. "As a pastor you always need to give the perception of authority in your own office, even if the other person is an old friend."
Alexis sat down behind his desk. "What can I help you with?"
"Figuring out what to do next," said Neil. "I know that based on what I tell you, you'll have to tell the board."
"What happened?" asked Alexis.
"Adultery, living with a woman, considering marrying the woman who's not a christian..."
"Wait a minute. The only other person I could consider you marrying is Judy," said Alexis as he finally understood what Neil was telling him. "Does Chelsea know?"
"The two of them are as thick as thieves and they tell each other everything."
"Chelsea is on the board and if she were aware of this situation beforehand and didn't inform the board she be in for a world of trouble," said Alexis.
"You have a better chance of getting that kind of info than me," said Neil. "I could technically sweep the entire thing under the rug as long as either I or Judy and Abby move out but she needs the help and she trusts me. Besides, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't help her? I guess this is more of a request to be suspended of my membership than anything else. I have no intention of having sex with her again, unless we get married. We'll be purely platonic."
"At the very least, be honest with yourself," said Alexis. "I know this is not a Christian-like response but I have watched the 2 of you dance around each other since you were teenagers. I saw how upset you were when she introduced Asif as her fiance. And frankly, you settled for Danielle. Your heart was never there in the first place. How you made it to 2 years is beyond me. So if you're not going to be honest with me than at least be honest with yourself and with God. Don't tell me the two of you will just be platonic. I know what your going through. I go through the same problems with Chelsea and I know if it were Chelsea and I and she had even a modicum amount of attraction for me as Judy has for you, it would only be only be platonic for as long as it would take to get somewhere private. Hurry up and get out of this situation. I'm pretty sure her mom would take her in. She has 8 siblings and 5 of them can take her in. By the end of the week, I expect for you to find a permanent solution to your living arrangement. As for the rest of what's going on, I will have to inform the board and they are going to want the suspension along with a letter of explanation. And the church will have to be informed."
"Do I have a chance to say anything to the church?" asked Neil.
"If you want to you can however that will most likely not work in your favour when it comes to opinion. I suggest you tell your close friends and families. I wouldn't want. Your parents hearing about it from me in front of everyone else."
"Can we make a stop before I take you home?" asked Alexis.
"As long as you take me over to Casey's instead. I got some clothes at his place and I can change before our date. He's taking me out for dinner at Harlem," said Chelsea with a smile, not noticing Alexis clenching his jaw.
"What time do you need to be there for?" asked Alexis, wishing things could be otherwise.
"Seven should be good. I wonder if I have an extra rag at Casey's."
"Let's go to Cafe Audrey and I'll buy you a mocha frapaccino with a ginger biscotti," said Alexis trying to divert the conversation.
"You sure know how to get a lady's attention," said Chelsea with a smile.
Chelsea smiled as Alexis placed her drink and biscotti before her.
"Thank-you," she said before she took a sip. Alexis was completely mesmerised by her.
"I need to ask you some questions, regarding Judy," said Alexis, trying to keep his mind focused.
"Like what? What does she have to do with anything?" asked Chelsea defensively.
"She does have something to do with a new issue at church. What I need to know is what you know.". Chelsea diverted her eyes, looking over his shoulder. "Chelsea, look me in the eyes and tell me you knew nothing about this!"
Chelsea stayed silent for a long time. Alexis had the answer but it was one he didn't want to be the truth. "'Thou shalt not bear false witness', right? This is my sister. She has nothing to do with our church issues. I have only talked to her, not Neil. As far as I'm concerned, since Neil has not said anything to me nor have I even seen her at his house since she got beaten up by her soon to be ex-husband, there is nothing to be said. Besides she's just his new roomate."
"He's slept with her already Chelsea," said Alexis in a quiet but powerful voice.
"And that I didn't know." Chelsea rested her head in her hands. "Neil told you all this? Why?"
"Because he knows he will get in serious trouble with the church when it comes out."
"It's not like he's on the board or anything more than a member at large," said Chelsea.
"This code of conduct applies to all Christians, not just a chosen few and by you not saying anything, you can get kicked off the board for not being forthcoming with the knowledge you have."
"I'm only on the board because I'm on the leadership team dealing with the youth, not because I was voted on it."
"You can be so frustrating sometimes," growled Alexis.
"But you love me anyways, right?" said Chelsea trying to make Alexis chuckle, even if it was just a bit.
"Something will never change Chels," said Alexis. "You can't treat me the same way you always have. I'm not just your buddy anymore-"
"You're my best friend," interrupted Chelsea. ~ This girl can be so dense sometimes ~ thought Alexis.
"I'm also your Pastor now," finished Alexis.

Universe: Sutton Chronicles
Main Characters:
- Mari Douglas and the other members of her youth choir
First performance jitters. This is the first time the choir was presenting to the congregation, and considering that this did not have an adult involved and this choir was completely youth led, under the direction of the reclusive Mari Douglas, it was understandable that they were nervous.
"Where's my sheet music?" whispered Mari harshly.
"You don't need it," said Matthew.
"Don't be difficult," said Mari.
"It's at the piano," said Donna, as she picked up her mic. She placed her hands on Mari's shoulders. "Deep breaths Mar." Mari complied. "Where's your headset?"
"Grampa gave it to me," said Mari, as she hears the moderator call them up.
Mari felt the nervousness washing away as she approached the piano. ~ I can do this. This is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm putting it in your hands God ~
