Have to rethink this scarf

Since I finished the Juniper fingerless gloves, I wanted to make a scarf to match. I'm wanting to do a zig zag pattern the first attempt didn't turn out quite well. I even got my aunt and cousin opinion. They couldn't see the zig zag. It just confirmed that I had to do the unthinkable and unraveled my work.

I got the zig and I'll start the zag soon.
