I am actually very pleasantly surprised with my week this week. I just finished 1 sock of the pair I had cast on last week.
They are the Kai-Mei socks by Cookie A. I really like them even though I had to suffer through the 6.5" of 3x3 ribbing for the leg. The panel on the foot more than made up for it challenge-wise. I hope to start the next sock very soon, like later in today, before the 2nd sock syndrome has a chance to kick in.
That's it for this week.
Beautiful - I love that pattern and the colour is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I love the pattern too! The only problem with the colour is that it's a one of a kind and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get another skein.
DeleteI still have not finished the first sock...and it has been awhile...it looks lovely...
ReplyDeleteWhat socks are you making?
DeleteWhat a really eye catching sock and the colour is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAmazing sock! The yarn really seems to suit the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was very surprised with how well the pooling of the colours worked with the pattern. Kind of reminds me of a solar flare or something spacial like that.
DeleteSuper special sock! But quick do cast on #2!

I did! I started last night and continued again this morning.
DeleteAwesome yarn! Love the brights. I guess I must be the only person who doesn't mind ribbing :)
ReplyDeleteIt just gets really repetitive and also, it's kind of hard to get both socks to match. I don't think I'm going to like counting the rows so that everything measures the same. I had originally thought of doing these socks 2aat for the legs...don't know why I didn't do it this time.
DeleteLovely sock. I really like the foot pattern. There are worse things than ribbing!
ReplyDeleteTrue...it could have been stockinette...heaven forbid.. The foot pattern is actually quite interesting until 1 specific stitch. I'm happy I don't have to do it more than 6 times for the foot.
DeleteThe whole "leg of stockinette stitch" is the reason my current pair of socks sprouted eyelet stripes. Much better that then straight knitting. :) I've noticed that there is usually always one stitch in a Cookie A sock that is annoying.
DeleteGorgeous sock! I wonder if I applied myself and only worked on one project at a time if I could actually finish something too? What a novel idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you but what is this concept of "one project at a time" that you speak of? LOL!
