"Fake it til you make it"

It was so hard to change everything back to the way it was. Zoe had spent so much time 'faking it' that these characteristics seemed to be ingrained in her personality. Everyone around her thought that she was responsible, intelligent, sensible woman. Zoe wasn't guessing these opinions. She could sense it whenever they were near.

This was how she had always lived her life. When she didn't know how to behave, she'd scan the mind of someone who did know and adjusted her behaviour to what was expected. She didn't know the answer from a class, she's scan the mind of the person teaching the class and come out looking like a genius.

If the situation were the same, she'd have no issues now. The problem was that Zoe had intrinsically changed. She finally learned to trust is her telepathy since she had been proven right.

Her other problem was now she found she could no longer reach everyone's mind. Zoe was unsure if it had been because she was not as careful as she should have been or if Rosie's mind was just stronger. Zoe didn't know how exactly she should behave around this Rosie.

The time apart and power change had changed the dynamics of the relationship. Zoe was used to the being the strongest in her family and she was only surpassed by Rosie in the practical magics such as charms, spells and potions. Now Zoe was the weaker one. In all fairness, Rosie had an unfair advantage. Being a power collector was rare and late blooming ability.

All Zoe had to do was go up to the attic and talk to Rosie
