A new kind of want

I'm sitting in a mall trying to look covert while these three (wait, now there's five) Asian ladies are knitting. If only they spoke English. I'd be asking what kind of yarn are you using? What are you knitting? Why are you using this Noro looking crocheted lap blanket as a chair warmer? Why do you knit with straights? Where did you find your knitting bags?

Is it weird to say that I'd like to do this when I retire? A room full of stash and friends to knit with. Sounds like a plan :)
